Chocolate chip cookies on Cook Paper

Ingredients

– 1 roll of Bompack Cook Paper nonstick baking paper;
– 140 g butter at room temperature;
– 40 g browned butter;
– 120 g brown sugar;
– 90 g white sugar;
– 1 large egg;
– 1 teaspoon baking powder;
– ¾ teaspoon salt;
– 250 g wheat flour;
– Vanilla extract or paste to taste (optional);
– 180 g chopped chocolate.

Method

1. Heat 40 g of butter in a small saucepan over medium heat until golden brown. Pour into a bowl and refrigerate for 10 minutes to cool. Set aside.

2. Place the remaining 140 g of room-temperature butter in a large bowl and work it with a spatula until soft. Add both sugars and the browned butter, then beat with a mixer or whisk until creamy. Add the egg and vanilla and mix well. Set aside.

3. Sift the flour, salt and baking powder together. Chop the chocolate unevenly so the baked cookies contain pieces of different sizes.

4. Using a spatula, gently fold in the chopped chocolate and sifted flour a little at a time, alternating between them.

5. Shape the dough into balls about the size of a scoop of ice cream and place them on trays lined with Bompack Cook Paper nonstick baking paper. Leave a little space between the balls and refrigerate for at least 1 hour. Put each batch in the refrigerator as soon as it is shaped.

6. Bake in an oven preheated to 180°C for 12 to 15 minutes. The centers should still be soft when the cookies come out of the oven.

7. Let the cookies cool before eating, then enjoy.
